Weight loss in the 21st century

The rates of obesity are increasing – 36%in the U.S., 28%U.K. – and as well as being associated with  many diseases is in itself a cause of inflammation.

Inflammation is the new buzzword leading  with cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, Alzheimer’s as well as cancers. Something we all want to avoid!

Recently, I found I have a lot of success using the weight loss medication. This new diet drug is  a painless weekly injection with a tiny needle and  it does 3 primary things for my patients. It works in weight loss by these mechanisms:

– Decreases appetite

– Causes a sensation of fullness so that you’ll feel full after eating much less food

– Affects your metabolism to promote it into fat burning mode. It works on the hormone Glucagon which affects your fat metabolism in the same way that insulin affects your sugar metabolism.

It’s been proven also in medical research to reduce fatty liver, which is what people get when they have got a lot of weight round their abdomen. Of course, being a beast in itself leads to more insulin resistance and fatty liver, and both these things make it difficult to lose weight which is a catch-22.

If you’re struggling with weight loss , I want to try this new diet drug, please make an appointment I will get you started.
